Chuck Purkey

Chuck Purkey, the owner of VDS, has been performing non-anesthetic dentals since 1997. Having been trained in pet stores and grooming facilities he quickly noticed and was concerned that there were a lot of flaws in the techniques. Out of this concern for the well-being of pets VDS was born. Chuck started VDS so pets could have the opportunity to receive non-anesthetic dentals in a safe environment. Chuck maintains his original promise, from when he first started his company, that he will only work under the direct supervision of a veterinarian. Together they are able to find a dental maintenance program that suits each pet individually. In his free time Chuck enjoys Scuba Diving, traveling and spending time with his 2 dogs Brown Dog and Dum Dum.

George Baugh

George has been a part of our team since 2012 and he has been working in the veterinary field since 2007. George first got involved with VDS when we cleaned his dog Bubba’s teeth and he saw what an amazing program this is. George has two dogs, Bubba and Misha, and enjoys taking them on lots on outdoor activities like camping, hiking and swimming. Being in the veterinary field has given him a chance to work with and give back to the animals he loves.

Steve Neske

Steve has worked for VDS for over 10 years and first found his love for non-anesthetic dentals when he observed Chuck clean a dog’s teeth with absolutely no stress to the animal. The interest grew into a career opportunity and he continues to be impressed by Chuck’s unprecedented love and affection for animals. Steve has also worked at his father’s dental office and has been able to gain valuable knowledge of the dental field from that opportunity. In his free time Steve enjoys surfing and hearing his 6 year old daughter say “Dad gets to play with dogs and cats at work all day long!”

Robert Ross

Robert is our newest team member. Robert has been working in the Veterinary field as an assistant since 2012. After watching non-anesthetic dentals being done, he knew that this was what he wanted to do. His goal in working with the animals is to create a stress free environment as well as further the owner's knowledge on the importance of pet dental hygiene. Robert grew up in Irvine and played baseball at Saddleback College and Pointloma Nazarene University as well as playing semi-pro for one year. Some of his hobbies are sports, dancing, going to the beach and hiking. He loves cats and has a family dog named Cali who was a rescue.
